My verdict on the best AI agent course free in 2026 is AI Money Lab, which is my own free Skool community with free AI courses inside it.
You should know that this is my own list, and that I put my own free courses at the top of it.
The rest are free courses from Hugging Face, Microsoft, DeepLearning.AI, Google and Kaggle, Anthropic and LangChain, and I checked each one on its provider's page on 13 October 2026.
Every entry in the ranked list is free to start, and the table tells you exactly where a certificate or a plan costs extra.
You get the verdict table first, then a feature-by-feature reference, then the one paid option in its own labelled section.

- Is the course free to start today without a card?
- Does a certificate or a plan cost extra?
- Does it need coding skills?

- Does it end with something you have built?
I give a firm opinion on my own courses, because I made them and I know what is inside.
For third-party courses I report what the provider's page states, because I have not completed all of them.
I did not give numeric scores, because scoring courses I have not finished would be guessing.
I also left out the prices of paid extras, because they change.

1. AI Money Lab
AI Money Lab is my free community, and its about page showed a free label and 93.2k members on 13 October 2026.
The page lists free AI courses, a free community, AI case studies, 50+ free AI tools and 1,000+ n8n workflows.
Verdict: It is the best free start because the course and the people are in one place.
Cost of extras: There are none listed on the about page.
2. How to Build Agent OS - FREE Course!
This course is free on my YouTube channel.
It shows how I build an Agent OS, which is a dashboard that runs several agents under one shared memory.
Verdict: It is the right free course once you want a system and not only a chatbot.
3. Hermes FULL COURSE 2 HOURS
This course is also free on YouTube, and its title promises a full two hours.
It teaches Hermes Agent, the open-source agent from Nous Research.
Verdict: It is the fastest free route to one working agent.
4. My Free AI SEO Course
The course page shows 262 video lessons across 22 modules.
It lists an AI Agents module at 20+ lessons, and it says the course is 100% free with no credit card.
Verdict: It is an SEO course first, so choose it when traffic is your goal.
5. Hugging Face AI Agents Course
The course page calls it a free course, and it says you need basic Python and a free Hugging Face account.
It also says the certification process is completely free and has no deadline.
Verdict: It is the best free technical course on this list for people who can code a little.
6. Microsoft AI Agents for Beginners
The repository is public on GitHub under the MIT licence, and GitHub describes it as 18 lessons.
The README says the code samples use Microsoft Foundry and that an Azure account is required.
Verdict: The lessons are free, and you should check your own Azure usage costs before you run the samples.
7. DeepLearning.AI Short Courses
The short course catalogue has an Agents topic.
The AI Agents in LangGraph page says access is free for a limited time during the learning platform beta.
The Agentic AI course by Andrew Ng says you can audit the videos for free.
Verdict: They are strong short lessons, and the certificate or accomplishment needs the paid Pro membership.
8. Google And Kaggle 5-Day AI Agents Intensive
Google's recap says the coursework from the live intensive is now a Kaggle Learn Guide.
Verdict: It is useful free material, and I could not confirm a certificate for the self-paced version.
9. Anthropic Academy
Anthropic describes its learning hub as free courses, tutorials and use cases.
The catalogue includes Building with the Claude API, Introduction to Model Context Protocol and Introduction to subagents.
Verdict: It is the free pick for Claude builders, and I saw no fee for its completion certificates.
10. LangChain Academy
LangChain Academy says its course content is always free.
It says its paid offering is the LangChain Certified Agent Engineer exam.
Verdict: It is free to learn from, and you only pay if you want the certification.
11. The Written Courses On agentos.guide
My Hermes crash course and my Agent OS build guide are free to read.
Verdict: They are best when you want prompts you can copy from a page.

Certificates: The Honest Verdict
Certificates are where free courses differ the most.

My verdict is that a working agent you can show somebody is worth more than a certificate.
If you do want a free certificate, the Hugging Face course is the clear choice on this list.
Free Tools To Practise With

That is the honest trade with free models, and it is fine for practice.

What Free Courses Leave Out
- Free courses rarely include live help for your own problem.
- Free courses usually cover one tool and stop there.
- Free courses have no deadline, so finishing is up to you.
- Free recorded lessons fall behind quickly in a field that moves weekly.
- Free courses do not give you a finished system to install.
My verdict is that free is the right place to start and the wrong place to stay if you need speed.
