Link building service reviews are scattered across testimonials pages, review platforms and case studies, and the provider I rank first is Goldie Agency, which is my own agency.

That's my bias, and I'd rather you heard it from me in line one than discovered it later.

For this verdict, I checked which review sources nine providers actually have, using only pages I could load on 27 October 2026.

The other eight are Rhino Rank, Loganix, The HOTH, FatJoe, Page One Power, Editorial.Link, Authority Builders and Outreach Monks.

Here's the ranking, with my own agency at number one and the review evidence I could actually load for each provider.

The Verdict In 30 Seconds

Goldie Agency is my number one, and its evidence is the kind you can check with your own eyes: videos, named clients and case studies with live websites.

Rhino Rank and Loganix are the easiest third-party providers to verify, because both link straight to independent review platforms from their own sites.

The HOTH and FatJoe are the providers with the biggest visible bodies of feedback.

Page One Power and Editorial.Link are the two I'd read first for an established brand.

I haven't hired the third-party providers, so this is a verdict on how checkable their reviews are, not on the quality of their links.

How I Scored Link Building Service Reviews

I didn't invent star ratings, and I didn't copy anyone's star ratings either.

Ratings change every week, and a number I freeze today will be wrong by the time you read this.

Instead, I scored each provider on how easy it is for a buyer to verify what clients say.

What I checked Why it matters
Whether the provider publishes its own testimonials Named testimonials let you check that the client exists.
Whether it has a profile on a platform it doesn't control Independent platforms show a wider spread of feedback over time.
Whether it publishes case studies Case studies with live websites can be checked against reality.
Whether the homepage links to its review sources Linking to independent reviews shows confidence.
Whether the evidence has dates and names Undated, anonymous evidence can't be verified.

My own agency is ranked first because I know how the work is done, and you should weigh that as my bias.

The order of the third-party providers reflects how many independent, checkable sources I could find for each one.

The Review Platforms, Explained

You'll meet the same handful of platforms again and again, so here's what each one is.

  • Trustpilot is a public review platform where companies can claim a profile and customers leave star ratings and written reviews.
  • Shopper Approved is a review collection service, and FatJoe and Loganix both link to their Shopper Approved pages.
  • REVIEWS.io is a review platform, and Rhino Rank links to its store page there from its homepage.
  • Clutch is a B2B review platform, and both Page One Power and Editorial.Link reference it on their sites.
  • G2 is a software and services review platform, and Editorial.Link links to its G2 profile.

Remember that a claimed profile means the company manages its page, and it doesn't mean the platform has vouched for the company.

Provider By Provider: The Reference Notes

These are my notes on each provider, written only from pages I loaded on 27 October 2026.

1. Goldie Agency And Goldstar Links (My Agency)

Goldie Agency has 70+ SEO experts, and its homepage lists real backlinks on high-authority sites, niche-relevant placements and manual outreach with no PBNs.

Its testimonials page has video testimonials, including clients named on the homepage as Stef Hagistefanou, Gerald Rodriguez, Ben Grove and Scott Crews.

Goldstar Links has a dozen written testimonials, and one from Yoav Ezer says Julian "went beyond what he promised and communicated extremely well".

The case studies page runs across three pages of dated results.

I found no Trustpilot profile for goldie.agency, so the evidence lives on our own sites.

Feature By Feature: What Reviews Should Prove

Reviews are only useful if they prove the things that actually matter in link building.

Feature What a strong review mentions What a weak review says
Link quality The type of sites, their topic and whether they had real readers "Great links"
Reporting A report with every live URL and its status Nothing about reporting
Communication Named people, response times and plain explanations "Nice team"
Results Traffic or rankings on specific pages over a stated period "Our SEO improved"
Problem handling A lost link replaced or a refund handled fairly Nothing, or an angry one-liner
Process Approval of sites before outreach No mention of approvals

How To Spot Fake Link Building Reviews

Fake reviews exist in every industry, so here's my reference list of warning signs.

Warning sign Why it matters
No name, no business and no detail You can't check a review that could have been written by anyone.
Many near-identical reviews in a short window Organic feedback usually arrives unevenly over time.
Evidence only on the provider's own site Curated pages show only the happy clients.
Praise for a guaranteed ranking Nobody controls Google, so a guarantee is a red flag in itself.
Case studies with no dates or websites A result you can't check is a story, not evidence.

Google's Link Spam Policy, Explained Honestly

Reviews can't tell you whether a provider's links are safe.

Google's spam policies define link spam as creating links to or from a site primarily to manipulate search rankings.

That includes buying or selling links for ranking purposes, excessive link exchanges and using automated programs or services to create links.

Google also says paid links are fine for advertising as long as they're qualified with rel="nofollow" or rel="sponsored".

So paying for research, outreach and content is normal, while paying purely for a link that passes ranking credit is what Google calls link spam.

Final Verdict

The most trustworthy link building service reviews are the ones you can check against a live website, a named client or a video.

FAQ: Link Building Service Reviews

What is the most reliable type of link building service review?

A case study that names a live website with dated numbers is the most reliable, because you can check it.

Video testimonials and independent platform reviews come next.

Which link building providers have independent reviews?

On 27 October 2026, Rhino Rank, Loganix, The HOTH, FatJoe, Editorial.Link, Authority Builders and Outreach Monks each had a claimed Trustpilot profile.

Page One Power showed client quotes labelled as Clutch reviews on its homepage.

Why is Goldie Agency ranked first?

It's my own agency, and I've disclosed that bias.

Its evidence is video testimonials, named written testimonials and dated case studies.

How do I spot fake link building reviews?

Watch for reviews with no name or detail and clusters of near-identical praise.

Real reviews usually mention specific sites, reporting or results.

Do good reviews mean a provider follows Google's rules?

Not necessarily, because a happy client can't see how every link was earned.

Ask each provider how links are earned and how paid placements are marked.
