HubSpot Academy lists AEO Fundamentals as a free certification course.
The page shows about two hours and twenty minutes of content across seven lessons.
Best for: marketers who want a certificate. Cost: free.

LearningAIsearch.com is a free AI search optimisation roadmap curated by Aleyda Solis.
It collects guides on fundamentals, measurement, ecommerce and tools.

Semrush Academy offers free online marketing courses.
Its page also lists AI-tagged webinars on topics such as AI visibility.

Its description focuses on SEO foundations rather than AI.

The 7-Point Checklist For Judging Any AI SEO Training
This is the part most comparison posts leave out.
Any AI SEO training worth your time should teach these seven things.
I've added the short method for each one, so you can test a course against it and also start using it.
1. Does it teach keyword research with AI and Search Console?
Good training starts with Google Search Console, because it shows the searches Google already links to your site.
The method is to export your queries and ask an AI to find striking-distance keywords between positions 5 and 20.
You also ask for page-one keywords with a low click rate and for searches where you have no dedicated page.
In one live run my keyword skill scored 184 real queries in one pass.
2. Does it teach search intent?
The format of the page has to match what the searcher wants.
A "best" keyword gets a ranked list, a "how to" keyword gets steps and a product name gets an explainer.
This post is a ranked comparison because you were weighing up AI SEO training options.
3. Does it teach grounded writing, and not prompt-and-publish?
Training that tells you to mass-produce articles from one prompt is teaching you the risky version.
My method starts with a recording of real work, and the transcript becomes the only source the AI may use.
My skill file then runs 13 quality steps before anything goes live.
4. Does it teach AEO honestly?
Google says there are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode beyond SEO best practices.
Google's generative AI guide also says structured data is not required for generative AI search.
So good AEO training teaches clear, answer-first writing and original information, and it does not sell secret tricks.
I still add FAQ and Article schema to my own pages because it is quick and it labels the page clearly.
5. Does it teach linking?
Each new page should link to two to four older related pages.
My agents also add a "latest updates" block to three to five older posts so the new page has links on day one.
Good training should also warn you away from link schemes.
6. Does it teach indexing?
A page that is not crawled cannot rank.
You request indexing in Search Console the moment you publish, or you automate the submission.
My fastest new page reached page one of Google in 14 hours, which is my best case and not a normal result.
7. Does it teach measuring?
You review Search Console weekly.
You rewrite titles on pages that are seen and not clicked, and you refresh pages that sit just off page one.
On 22 September 2026 my research run showed 78 striking-distance keywords and 23 click-through leaks waiting on my own sites.
A Simple Scorecard You Can Use
Give any AI SEO training one point for each line it meets.

Here are my own receipts, so you can score me on the second line.
One site built with this system reached 278 clicks a day, with 122,674 impressions and 4,310 clicks over 90 days.
Six of my sites took 50,541 clicks and 3.25 million impressions from Google over 16 months.
Both sets of numbers are shown in my public guides on Claude AI SEO and the Infinite Ranking Engine.
I should add the honest caveat that one of my sites stayed flat for about seven months before it climbed.
Free Vs Paid AI SEO Training
Free training is enough to learn the method.
You can run the whole seven-point workflow with Search Console, an AI assistant and the free courses above.
Paid training makes sense when you want three things.
You may want the system pre-built so you skip the setup.
You may want live help on your own site.
You may want a group of people doing the same work.
If none of those matter to you yet, stay on the free options until they do.
Red Flags In AI SEO Training
- You should be careful with any course that guarantees rankings, because nobody controls Google.
- You should be careful with any course that sells mass page generation as the whole strategy.
- You should be careful with any course that never mentions Google's spam policies.
- You should be careful with any course that hides its own results.
What Google's Spam Policies Say About Scaled AI Content
Google's spam policies define scaled content abuse as generating many pages for the primary purpose of manipulating search rankings and not helping users.
One listed example is using generative AI tools to generate many pages without adding value for users.
Google says this applies no matter how the content is created.
Google's AI content guidance also says its focus is on the quality of content rather than how it is produced.
So AI content is allowed, and valueless pages at scale are not.
Google ran spam updates in March, June and August of 2026, so this is not a rule you can ignore.
