My Julian Goldie Agent OS GitHub verdict starts with the fact that matters most: my Agent OS is not on public GitHub, and it's only available inside the AI Profit Boardroom as an installable download with step-by-step guides.
So if you're hunting for a repo to clone, you won't find an official one.
What you will find in this post is a feature-by-feature reference for the real Agent OS, with a score for every part of it.
I'll also cover how members get it and install it, why it isn't a public repo, how to spot fake copies, and how the free open-source alternatives on GitHub compare.
One honest disclosure before we start is that the Agent OS is my own system, so I'm scoring my own work.
I've tried to be harsh where it deserves it, and I'll show you the weak spots as clearly as the strong ones.
The Short Verdict On The Julian Goldie Agent OS GitHub Question
There's no official GitHub repo for my Agent OS, and that's the first thing to get straight.
The real Agent OS is a members' download inside the AI Profit Boardroom, and it's the system I run my own business on.
I'd score it 8 out of 10 overall, based on the feature scores below, and I'll explain every one.
If you want a free open-source project from GitHub instead, Hermes Agent, Herald OS and StarNet are the three I'd look at, and I compare them later in this post.
| Question | Quick answer |
|---|---|
| Is it on GitHub? | No, there is no public repo. |
| Where is the official version? | Inside the AI Profit Boardroom at skool.com/ai-profit-lab-7462. |
| What format is it? | A dated zip pack with a dashboard, install docs, video tutorials and updates. |
| Who made it? | I built it, and I run Goldie Agency and the AI Profit Boardroom on it. |
| Does it need coding? | No, because you direct the agents in plain English. |
| Are GitHub copies safe? | Any repo claiming to be it isn't official, so don't install it. |
What The Agent OS Is
The Agent OS is my AI agent operating system, which means one dashboard where every AI agent lives, shares one memory and picks up work from one task board.
I built it in mid-2025, when I shifted from teaching SEO tactics to running AI agents that do the SEO for me.
It runs a crew of agents, including Claude Code, Hermes, Codex, Gemini, OpenClaw, Kimi and GLM, all reading and writing the same Obsidian vault.
It runs on macOS and Linux and through a web browser, and I open it from my phone through a private Tailscale network.
The problem it solves is scattered AI.
Without it, you're the glue between a dozen tabs, re-explaining your business to every model, every morning.

Every Agent OS Feature, Scored
Every score below is my own judgement from running the system daily, out of 10.
| Feature | My score out of 10 | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Mission Control | 9 | It shows every agent's live status, model and job on one screen. |
| Unified chat | 8 | One chat box works for every agent, but each agent still has its own quirks. |
| Shared Obsidian memory | 9 | Every agent starts warm with my business context, and the vault passed 1,200 memories in its first month. |
| Kanban agent board | 9 | Agents pick up cards and finish work while I'm away, with notes saved to the vault. |
| Hermes desk | 8 | One Hermes agent covers thirteen rooms, but most people only need two or three of them. |
| Voice | 8 | Spoken answers land in about five seconds, but the microphone needs its own permission on a Mac. |
| Workspace previews | 9 | Every HTML app, image, video and audio file renders inline, so nothing gets lost. |
| Free Claude Code | 8 | Routine jobs run very cheaply through OpenRouter, but free models are weaker than paid ones. |
| Goal Mode | 8 | Long goals run on their own, but you still need to check the output. |
| Studio and research | 7 | Images, voice, video and NotebookLM assets work from the dashboard, but it's a layer to add after the core. |
| Mobile access | 7 | Tailscale keeps it private, but your home internet is the speed limit. |
| Install and updates | 8 | The double-click start and safe updater are easy, but you need Node.js first. |
| Openness | 6 | You can't inspect the code on GitHub before joining, which some developers will dislike. |
Those thirteen scores average out at exactly 8 out of 10, and that's my overall verdict.
The memory and the board carry far more weight in daily use than the extras, so the low openness score hurts less than it looks.
Mission Control: 9 out of 10
Mission Control is the home page, and it shows which agents are online, what they're working on, their latency and the model each one uses.
It's the screen I open every morning, and it's the reason I stopped juggling tabs.
Shared memory: 9 out of 10
The memory layer is an Obsidian vault on your own machine that every agent reads before it works and writes to after it finishes.
It's plain text files, so no subscription holds your brain hostage, and you can move it to a new laptop by copying a folder.
My Hermes desk alone has saved over 1,000 sessions, which means an agent that never forgets a meeting.
Kanban agent board: 9 out of 10
You drop cards like "draft the outline", "check indexing" or "pull the numbers", and agents pick them up and work in parallel.
I come back from the gym to finished work in Done, with a summary of what happened written into the vault.
It only loses a point because it rewards discipline, and you need to follow manual, then assisted, then automated.
Hermes desk: 8 out of 10
The Hermes desk gives one Hermes agent thirteen rooms: Chat, Apollo voice, Oracle, Astros, Studio, Sessions, Outreach, Mixture, Workspace, MCPs, Manage, Control Room and Goal Mode.
Oracle checks competitors and news each morning, Astros works on content ideas, and the Manage room shows every session, model, cron job and skill without a terminal.
It's powerful, but you'll live in two rooms most days.
Workspace previews: 9 out of 10
Anything any agent builds, from HTML apps to MP4 videos, lands in one searchable workspace and previews inline.
That alone fixed my "where did I save that file" problem.
Free Claude Code: 8 out of 10
Free Claude Code runs the same Claude Code tooling through OpenRouter, so everyday jobs cost very little.
The trade-off is that cheaper models are weaker, so I keep the heavy jobs on stronger models.
Install and updates: 8 out of 10
On a Mac, Start Agent OS checks Node.js, installs once and opens the dashboard.
Check My Setup shows what's ready, and Update Agent OS backs up your old code and never touches your config, keys or vault.
There's also a Setup With AI playbook that Claude Code or Codex can follow, and it stops to ask before anything paid or anything that needs a key.
Openness: 6 out of 10
This is the honest weak spot for anyone who searched GitHub.
The Agent OS isn't open source, so you can't read the code before you join.
If inspecting every line before you install is a must for you, start with the open-source alternatives below.

How Members Get And Install The Agent OS
The install path is simple, and here's the exact order.
- Join the AI Profit Boardroom and open the Agent OS section in the classroom.
- Download the dated pack, which has the date in its file name and a changelog of what changed.
- Unzip it and read the README and the disclaimer.
- Install Node.js if you don't have it, then double-click Start Agent OS on a Mac.
- Or open Claude Code or Codex in the folder and ask it to follow the Setup With AI playbook.
- Run Check My Setup to see which features are ready.
- Connect your Obsidian vault, add one agent at a time and follow the 30-day roadmap.
Each optional tab has its own numbered install doc, and Windows and Linux users get an Update With AI guide for updates.
Why There's No Public Repo
The reason is straightforward: it's the members' version.
It ships inside the AI Profit Boardroom with the docs, videos, updates and coaching that help people get it working.
I haven't published its source on GitHub.
The method itself is free, and my AI Agent OS guide shows the exact prompts I used to build mine.
The Fake Repo Warning
When I searched GitHub on 9 October 2026, I found a few community repos that mention my name or the Agent OS.
None of them was published by me, and none of them is the official members' pack.
My verdict on any of them is simple, because if it claims to be my Agent OS, it isn't.
- Don't run an install script from a repo that uses my name.
- Don't paste API keys into anything you found that way.
- Only download the Agent OS from the Boardroom classroom.
The Free GitHub Alternatives, Scored
If you want something open source today, here's how the three projects I've covered stack up.
| Project | GitHub repo | Licence | My score | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Herald OS | iamlukethedev/Herald-OS | MIT | 4 out of 5 | A clean desktop interface for Hermes. |
| StarNet | androoAGI/starnet | MIT | 3.5 out of 5 | A fun pixel-art agent station that teaches crews. |
| Hermes Agent | NousResearch/hermes-agent | MIT | Not scored here | The open-source agent many of these tools run on. |
Herald OS: 4 out of 5
Herald OS is an alpha operating system that uses Hermes Agent as its interface, built by Luke The Dev as an independent project.
It's the cleanest Hermes interface I've used, and my automations synced across it and my Agent OS straight away.
The Connections page didn't work for me, which is why it stops at 4.
My full Herald OS review scores every screen.
StarNet: 3.5 out of 5
StarNet is a free, local-first agent harness where your agents live on a pixel-art space station and level up as you use them.
It's the most fun agent add-on I've tested, but I don't see a massive number of practical use cases yet.
I liked it enough to build it into my own Agent OS as a tab.
My StarNet AI agent review has every feature scored.
Hermes Agent
Hermes Agent from Nous Research is the open-source agent behind Herald OS and a big part of my own Agent OS.
It's the long-runner, so you give it a big goal and walk away.
My Hermes Agent OS GitHub review covers how Herald OS installs on top of it.
Agent OS vs The GitHub Alternatives
| Area | Agent OS | Herald OS | StarNet |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where to get it | AI Profit Boardroom only | GitHub, free | GitHub, free |
| Open source | No | Yes, MIT | Yes, MIT |
| Agents | Claude Code, Hermes, Codex, Gemini, OpenClaw, Kimi, GLM and more | Hermes Agent | Agents you create, using brains like Claude, Kimi, Grok or local models |
| Shared memory | Obsidian vault for every agent | Hermes memory | Agent memories per agent |
| Task board | Kanban board for agents | Missions | Tasks and quests |
| Support | Docs, videos, updates and four coaching calls a week | GitHub issues | GitHub issues |
| Status | Used daily in my business | Alpha | Early release |
The open-source projects win on openness and price.
The Agent OS wins on how many agents it runs together, the shared memory and the support behind it.
If you want to know which models are worth plugging into any of them, my best AI models for coding ranking is a good place to start.
Limits I Won't Hide
- Remote access depends on your home internet, so you'll notice a small delay from far away.
- A power cut at home takes the dashboard offline until power is back.
- Your Mac must have "prevent automatic sleeping when display is off" switched on.
- Agents can touch files, so keep approvals on and keep backups.
- The source isn't public, so you have to trust the community rather than read the code first.

Final Verdict
The Agent OS earns 8 out of 10 from me, with the shared memory and the Kanban board as the stand-out features.
It isn't on GitHub, so don't trust any repo that claims to be it.
If you want free and open source, start with Hermes Agent, then try Herald OS or StarNet.
If you want the full system with support, it's inside the Boardroom.
